Small Monstera Golden Sands in a 3 Inch Pot

Small Monstera Golden Sands in a 3 Inch Pot

This is a starter Monstera Golden Sands in a 3 inch pot. The leaves carry warm gold, chartreuse, and creamy yellow marbling instead of the cream speckles on our Thai Constellation or the white sectors on our Borsigiana Albo. Each leaf comes out a little different. That is the point of this plant.

I grow these in the Lealman and St. Petersburg area of Pinellas County. After 13 years of propagating Monsteras in Florida humidity, I pick the ones with firm roots and clean foliage. No blemishes go out. This size is for a desk, shelf, or windowsill in St. Pete, Pinellas Park, Gulfport, Largo, Clearwater, Seminole, or a Tampa Bay apartment. We also ship nationwide.

Plant Bio
Monstera Golden Sands is a golden variegated form of the classic climbing Monstera. Young plants start compact. Give it a moss pole later and the leaves get larger splits, the same way our other Monsteras do once they climb.

Light Instructions
Bright indirect light keeps the gold from fading. An east window or a few feet back from a south or west window works. Direct midday sun can burn the pale parts. In darker Tampa Bay rooms, add a grow light in winter.

Is it Pet Safe?
No. Like our other Monsteras, it has calcium oxalate crystals. Keep it away from cats, dogs, and kids who chew plants.

Watering Instructions
Water when the top 1 to 2 inches feel dry. Let the pot drain. Do not leave it sitting in a saucer. In our Florida summers the mix dries faster. In winter, wait longer.

Specific Plant Care
Use a chunky aroid mix with bark and perlite. Keep it between 65 and 85°F. Humidity around 50 to 60 percent is enough. Florida air already helps. Feed lightly in spring and summer. Send a photo if the leaves yellow or stall. I will walk you through it.

FAQ

What is a Monstera Golden Sands?
It is a golden variegated Monstera with gold, chartreuse, and creamy yellow marbling. It is not the same plant as Thai Constellation or Albo.

Is Monstera Golden Sands good for beginners?
Yes at this 3 inch size if you give it bright indirect light and let the mix dry a little between waterings. It is slower than a plain green Deliciosa because of the gold tissue.

Where can I buy a small Monstera Golden Sands near St. Petersburg, Florida?
Monstera Houseplants in the Lealman and St. Petersburg area sells hand selected plants in 3 inch pots and ships across the U.S.

Does Monstera Houseplants ship Golden Sands nationwide?
Yes. Local pickup and Tampa Bay delivery are also common for Pinellas, Clearwater, Largo, and nearby cities within about 30 miles.

Is Monstera Golden Sands toxic to cats and dogs?
Yes. It is not pet safe if eaten.

How is Golden Sands different from Thai Constellation?
Golden Sands shows gold and chartreuse marbling. Thai Constellation shows cream and white starry speckles. Care is similar, with a bit more light needed to hold the color.

What pot size is this plant in?
A 3 inch nursery pot, same starter size as our other small tropicals.
